Beau's world is getting bigger and bigger as he has now accomplished pulling up and crawling up steps!   I know it's inevitable that all these things happen...but it's funny how surprising they are.  I feel like it wasn't that long ago Beau was just a little swaddle bug.  Now he's definitely developing his personality and showing how determined he is!

Before and After

A Before and After of our little house project! It was time for the weird placed and broken drawer desk to go. We had absolutely no use for it, other than a huge "catch-all." I'm so happy with the new "mudroom area" and so are the 20 pairs of shoes that are now concealed inside of it!

8 Months Old

Our little guy (who isn't so little anymore) is 8 months old today!  It seems like he's doing something new every day now. 

He's crawling on his hands and knees more and more...but he can go faster by means of army crawl.  So if he really means business, he uses his army crawl.  His newest thing is pulling up.  He has managed to pull up on the toy box and just today he successfully pulled up on the fireplace.  He also loves to pull up on the step in our master bathroom.  Next thing on the agenda will be finding the baby gate for the stairs in the house.   

Beau has started waving "bye-bye" or "hi" and also claps his hands. He loves music, bubbles, and watching his big sisters dance. 

He has 3 teeth and another one is on the way..it just hasn't broken through yet.  His sleeping has come along.  In fact, he even slept through the night for us twice in the last four nights.  Otherwise, he usually just gets up once.  It's probably the teeth bothering him...but it's hard to say for sure.  Once I went in and found him sitting up crying in his crib in the middle of the night.  So he seems to be practicing his new tricks in his sleep!

Our little guy sure loves to smile...as you can tell from the pictures below.  Happy 8 Months Beau!

Still Falling For Each Other...6 years later

John and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary this weekend!  G&G Kennedy came to visit and blessed us with some alone time, as they watched the kids for us. It was wonderful! We had a breakfast date and did some shopping after. The rest of the weekend was spent hanging out, watching the Masters, and having some family time.

Don't even ask.  I guess you can say a photo shoot gone wrong.  HA!

A Girl and Her Bike

We are so stinkin' proud of this girl for learning to ride her bike without training wheels!   Luckily for our backs, she caught on fast.  Only a few spills and a few dramatic episodes and now she rides around like a pro...even to the point of yelling "look mom, no feet!" as she's coasting down the cul de sac at top speed.  Enough to give the mom a heart attack, but she must feel comfortable enough to do it...so what do I say, but "Good job Jackie!"

Discovering Grass

I love watching a baby's reaction to new things. So I was pretty excited to get Beau outside sitting in the grass to see what he would do. He was totally entertained by the grass and even tasted a little . He seems to love the outdoors so far... to the point of getting upset when we come in from outside!
