We spent Thanksgiving this year at the new house of John's sister, Sarah and her husband, Roy. They hosted a fabulous Thanksgiving meal, complete with all the traditional fixings! All I can say is...YUM!

Gooooooo Chiefs!
On Sunday, John's brother, Shane, and his girlfriend, Julie, came to KC to go to the Chief's VS. Steeler's game! It was a gorgeous day out for football and a fun time was had by all. Plus, it was nothing short of a miracle the Chief's actually won! What an exciting game...sorry Shane!

You Know...
You frequent a place too much when you tell your 21-month old we are going to the store and she automatically yells out, "TARGET!!"
In the past year or so, I've heard a lot of people say they have "Ah Ha" moments. I think this came from an Oprah show or something. Well, I've decided that I have far more "DUH" moments. I laugh at myself...a lot. If I couldn't laugh at the dumb things I did, then life just wouldn't be much fun. So my "DUH" moment of the day was when I realized I bought the same WRONG box of clear Christmas lights two years in a row! That's right...last year I bought a box of 350 clear lights, only to open them up and see they have white, instead of green wires. Unfortunately, I had already misplaced the receipt so I was stuck with them. So this year, I saw a box of 350 clear lights, I was SURE they had green wires...but I just opened them up and they have white. And yes, I have already misplaced the receipt. So if anyone has use for 700 clear Christmas lights with white wiring...they are all yours!

I've Got Nothing...
Seriously, I just haven't had much to blog about lately....I'm not sure if that is a good because we have just been taking it easy, or bad because we are living extremely boring lives. Probably a little of both. I typically try not to blog like this and say too many random things, but I know for a fact I have daily readers...and I hate to disappoint! So here goes...
*I think we are all finally getting healthy again(*knocks on wood*). Last night was the first time in about three weeks I was actually able to breathe through my nose while sleeping!
*Miss Jackie has been sleeping "in" until at least 630am for the last week and a half (*knocks on wood again*) Considering she woke up between about 5-530am for three months straight...this is heavenly!
*Christmas shopping....haven't started yet.
*The sun...hadn't seen it in almost a week, and didn't realize I was that close to having seasonal affective disorder until it came out today.
*Now that Jackie is approaching two years old...I have found myself becoming increasingly in to "Curious George" and "Sid the Science Kid" on PBS.
Okay, I'll spare ya until I have something more interesting to say....have a Happy Thursday everyone!

Itsy-Monkey-Star
I found this video from a couple weeks ago and thought it was kinda funny. She starts out singing "Itsy-Bitsy Spider", throws a little "Monkey's Jumping on the Bed" in there and then ends with "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star." She's so proud at the end!

Jackie "isms"
There's nothing too new and exciting to report this week. Jackie and myself are getting over colds....again. We've been laying pretty low so far this week and have actually survived staying home for almost two whole days now. Anyway, Jackie has said some pretty funny things lately....so I thought I'd share.
*Jackie has learned that Daddy's name is "John." So sometimes when she is trying to get his attention...she will call out, "John." It cracks me up, as I know she got this from me.
*When we eat Quesadilla's for lunch...Jackie likes to call them "Jack-a-dilla's" and "Momma-dillas"
*When Jackie gets into some mischief, I usually refer to her as "Jackie Jo"...now when I'm doing something that she doesn't want me to, Jackie calls me "Mommy Jo."
*She is starting to sing songs and when she sings the Monkey's Jumping on the Bed song, she says, "No more monkey's jumping on the big girl bed."
I could really go on and on, as she comes up with something new almost every day. It's amazing how much she's changed and become aware of in the last couple of months!

Pants
Jackie has been into trying to dress herself lately. The only problem is she just puts on pants. She works really hard at it too...it typically can take up a good 30-45 min of the morning, while I get some things done around the house. She usually runs into a problem getting them over her bottom, but she tries so hard. Below you can see she has three pairs of pants on....
